The 52 Week Project – A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, for one year.

21/52 — We’ve just returned from our camping trip. I have so many beautiful stories to tell and photographs to share. I’m quite certain that it was the best time of Roman’s life which also makes it one of the best times of my own. Last night, M. and I shed tears of joy as we thought back over the weekend and about the incredible gift that Roman’s presence has brought into our own lives.

Here he is, sitting on the beach at the lake. It was his first time playing in the sand and his first time in the water. He was fearless. He innately started digging in the sand with his little shovel and when we put his toes in the water, he ran in head first. He is, without a doubt, a little water bug like his mama.

Thanks, Tina! It worked so well to keep the sun off of his face & neck!

Aw I’m happy you guys had a wonderful time! You are going to have such a fun summer with your boys: )

Once Rob is finished with his big race next weekend, we will start taking advantage of the summer and being outside. I cannot wait!

I can’t wait to hear about the trip! Reagan is a water bug too, which is the complete opposite of me. I don’t even know how to swim :/

Oh my goodness. I can’t imagine life without swimming. When I am in the water, I am most at peace. Never too late to learn! 😉

I admire these every week but it’s still blowing my mind how he’s growing like a weed.

Thank you, Clare. It really is alarming how quickly he is growing. I swear he changes every.single.day. Sometimes he even wakes up from a long nap and he’s changed again. It’s bittersweet for sure — mostly sweet!! <3

I think I commented on this on IG (so far behind on blog reading!) but this pic is so cute! It’s good he knew what to do in the sand (and the water)! 🙂
We went to the beach Memorial Day weekend, too and no sand was eaten! Success!
