Carnival Magic

Last week our town’s annual summer carnival came to town. There is nothing in the world like the excitement that builds as we see the big red & white carnival tent go up and the rides start to fill in the empty spaces in the grass. Roman’s #1 request at carnival time is cotton candy and it is the sweetest thing.

This year was extra special because Marina decided to play games for the first time, rather than just watching her brother. It was of course bittersweet to see my baby girl, once again, becoming less of a baby & more of a girl. But, my goodness, seeing the pride in their eyes when they hold up those carnival prizes has to be the most adorable thing ever, my mama heart shines so brightly in these precious moments.
