We’re just days away from three-months now. Yesterday marked one week since she started reflux medication. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much (if any) change in her “colic.” It’s been an exceptionally difficult few days, but I don’t have the heart to write about it now. I’d rather sit and stare at these smiley photographs. Despite the madness, her sweetness shines through brightly. She is happy and beautiful and I am so very grateful for my baby girl.

Oh, Mama. I’ve been thinking about you guys so much lately. Been wondering (and hoping, wishing, praying) for an improvement after starting the meds. I’m so sorry there’s been no change 🙁 We actually made the heavy decision (at least it was for us, I know there’s many who don’t mind at all) to fill out Margo’s prescription for Zantac. Our pediatrician wrote it out for us without a second thought or even asking if we were okay with that. Anyways, after having the written prescription for days, we finally decided to get the meds. We gave her one drop of it the morning we had our first chiro appt. and the doc asked that we didn’t give it to her again so we’d know if his adjustments were working. Made sense, we wouldn’t have been able to tell if it was him or meds, had we done both. Anyways, that was the only time we’ve used it. I know how hard for you guys it must have been to turn to that. I’ve read a lot that at 3-4 months is when colic babies tend to mellow out. I HOPE (as I’m sure you do as well) that this holds true for you as well. Marina is sooooo beautiful. Those smiles really do help us get through the most difficult days. Just remember that she’s worth the fight. Power through, you can do this! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo -Misty

have you tried a chiropractor? Our son was very similar and that was one of the things we tried after it being recommended by some other moms. I’m not sure it worked for us as the reflux meds did BUT I have friends that swore by it with their fussy little ones. Anything is worth a try when you’re all struggling! Wishing you better days ahead! I am due in 6 weeks and the prospect of #2 being like our first is truly terrifying!!!
