Hello, friends! How are you all feeling this week? I hope that your week has been off to a beautiful start. Well, as you can see, the birthday celebrations keep on coming over here by us. Over the weekend, we had Marina’s “Mermaid Birthday Party” and it was such a wonderful time. She was showered with so much love from our closest family & friends. I am so grateful that we have such a beautiful, loving close circle to share these special times with.

For her party, I kept things fairly simple. I ordered a small cake and cupcakes from a local bakery. I had the food catered from a new gastro-pub restaurant in our town. As for the decorations, my craft projects were fairly simple this time around. I strung up some balloons and I painted some wooden cutlery to match the party theme. I did a little bit of stenciling on the goodie bags and that was about it for my DIY projects.

One thing that I did a little bit different this time around was the goodie bags. Instead of filling them with candy and a lot of cheap plastic toys, I got little crafts kits for the kids to put together. The boys assembled wooden pirate ships and they seemed to enjoy that quite a bit. I also used biodegradable utensils.

It really was a fabulous day celebrating my sweet girl. Here are some more photographs from the day. I will share a few details about where I got things at the end of the post.
