The Renaissance Faire

Over the weekend, we visited the Renaissance Faire — one of my favourite summertime traditions. I’ve been visiting the faire with my friend since we were little girls. There is something so magical about the carnival atmosphere coupled with an “Olde English” flair. Delicious food; men in tights; jousting; castles; artisans; and the most enchanted fairy forest. It’s so lovely to get lost in the magic of it all. We were so excited to take Roman with us this year. Even though we had a diaper explosion at lunchtime and he fell asleep before we could snap a photo on Ye Olde Kissing Bridge — the perfect potato pancake & the most refreshing root beer float made up for it! We had a gorgeous day.

We love the RenFest too. Our RenFest is coming in Oct. and we totally want to take Sam. The RenFests on the east coast are so pretty! In Arizona, it was in a huge dirt field. Imagine my surprise when I went to the one out to the one in North Carolina and there’s trees!
Rob’s cousin is a fireman and I hear him and his fireman buddies dress up at the New York Ren Fest in trekkie outfits: )

You’ve got such an eye! I love your pics. So vibrant, clear, and some angles that I’d never think of taking. Each one is magazine/post card quality. Just beautiful.

The New York Renaissance Faire is, for many reasons, dear to my heart. Thank you for sharing your own love for this place, as well as your beautiful photos. I’m envious of my fellow performers who were captured by your lens!
