Camp Roman // Pillows, Bean Bags & Roman’s Vest!
The Camp Roman decor is coming right along. I can’t believe that the party is in less than two weeks! I’ve been planning it for six months (clearly, I am the opposite of a procrastinator) and I’m so excited that it’s almost here. All of the little details that I’ve had brewing in my mind are starting to come together. This week I received the pillows for the “fire circle” and the bean bags for the bean bag toss. (Click here to see the original fabric.) Unfortunately, I cannot sew, but a good family friend was kind enough to sew them for me.
Roman was just thrilled about the pillows and as soon as I laid them out to photograph them, he promptly began to dive into them headfirst! Haha… I’m just happy that someone is as excited as I am.
My father, a talented artist, is almost finished with the receiving piece for the bean bag toss. He hand-painted the Camp Roman logo across the top and it came out perfectly.
We’ve also received the first, and most important, piece of Roman’s attire for the day. This gorgeous vest from Girls & Boys Clothing. I searched high & low for something handmade and camp-themed. I kept coming up empty-handed… until I found this! I cannot tell you how thrilled I was. It’s perfect. It arrived a few weeks ago & I’ve been keeping it safely hung up in Roman’s closet in preparation for the big day. Nikki, the amazing seamstress behind the shop, was a dream to work with. Her shop is definitely a new favourite. I can’t wait to share photos of Roman wearing his vest (or “waistcoat” as Nikki calls it).
Have a lovely weekend, friends. If you need me, you’ll likely find me party-crafting away. xo

Your son is darling…what a great smile, and what a great mom you must be to plan out so carefully such a fun party for him! This idea is darling. Some of my nieces just had their first babies…one had twins. I will be passing along your site and ideas to them. Thanks for sharing!

I didn’t make nearly as much as I had planned for Mia’s birthday. I’m not so great in the time management department. These all look soooo great and so cute! Can’t wait to see photos from the big day. And that vest. It’s perfect.
