Five on Friday // My 5 Must-Have Beauty Products

1. MAC Concealer – I’ve been using this product for about ten years or so now. I’ve been cursed with dark circles under my eyes for most of my life. In my early twenties, I searched high and low for the best concealer on the market. This one was, and is, the best I’ve come across. I’ve never even considered switching over the years. Why mess with perfection?

2. BSH Root Pump – I discovered this product about a year or two ago. My hair is a unique combination of wavy, coarse, and extremely thick. I feel blessed with my hair because it styles easily, but most of those styles take a lot of time and effort — neither of which do I have these days. Enter this product, I spray it into my hair after a shower, give it a quick scrunch, and I’m good to go. I’ve never received so many compliments on my hair as I do when I use this.

3. Burt’s Bees Lip Balm – If I were stranded on a desert island and only allowed to have one product… this would be the one. I just love this stuff. I am a self-confessed lip balm junkie and I’ve tried them all; but this one of the best. It smells delicious, tastes delicious, and outlasts almost anything on the market. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I don’t leave the house without it.

4. After Dark Blush & Highlighter – I don’t really know how I ended up with this palette. I am not even a palette person. Honestly, I’m not really a makeup person. I do wear it, but on a day-to-day basis I use only the products mentioned here. Still, somehow I stumbled on this palette and while I’ve never been crazy about the eye shadows, I fell in love immediately with the blush and highlighter in the kit. They are subtle but gorgeous and I use them every time I do my makeup.

5. Beauty Tubes Mascara – Last, but certainly not least, this is my mascara. I rave about it to anyone who will listen. I have tiny eye lashes. I’ve long lamented the fact that they were not longer, thicker, and darker — but then I discovered this product and it didn’t really matter. This is almost as good as false lashes and takes just a fraction of the effort to apply. Can’t recommend it enough.
