taking stock // 2017 may
making // I’ve had my weaving loom sitting on my kitchen table for weeks now. I have so many ideas floating around in my head. Yet, life has been so busy — oh, gosh friends, you have no idea! — but I will get to it very soon. I am on the cusp of creating so much. It’s very exciting.
cooking // not much these days, but with luck that will change very soon. Lately I’ve been eating a lot of salads and frozen meals. For Marina, I make her favorite organic beans with Jasmine rice every week. She’s obsessed. Roman is so picky. He mostly eats peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, bananas, sliced tomatoes, any type of cheese, and lots of spaghetti. They both love spaghetti. I prepare it with organic coconut oil, EVO, grass-fed butter, and Parmesan. They devour it.
drinking // a big glass of water with organic apple cider vinegar. I’m trying to make this an every morning thing, work in progress.
reading // Women Who Run With the Wolves and When Things Fall Apart.
hoping // that we’ll get good weather for our upcoming Memorial Day Weekend camping trip.
playing // with my babies every day — lots of tickling and pillow fights these days.
enjoying // the new season of Vikings on Amazon Prime.
waiting // patiently for many things to be resolved, all in their own good time.
loving // the promise of summer on the horizon, beach days, camping, carnivals, all of the sweet, sticky, magic of summertime.
needing // truly nothing at the moment. I’ve been coming to terms with the idea that exactly what I have is exactly enough.
smelling // the scent of spring flowers and freshly cut grass on all of our daily walks.
wearing // pajamas, my days start very early, usually 5 am. I usually get my morning tasks and chores done in my pajamas and then, reluctantly, get dressed before we leave the house.
watching // I just binge-watched I Love Dick on Amazon Prime a couple of weekends back. I am still completely unsure how I felt about it! I have no idea if there will be another season, but I will most definitely watch it. I suppose that says something of my feelings about the show.
noticing // that I am finally remembering to focus on my breathing when I get tense.
knowing // that I’ve got to take the sour with the sweet.
feeling // a mixture of sadness and excitement over the fact that Roman’s preschool graduation is just a few weeks away.
bookmarking // a lot of interior design inspiration, that I shall be needing very soon.
giggling // at the deeply thoughtful questions that Roman asks these days.
