26/52
The 52 Week Project – A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, for one year.
26/52 — I have a full-blown adventurer on my hands. There is no longer such a thing as boundaries. If I tell him not to go over there, he will undoubtedly go over there. He climbs and spins and runs. He wants to explore everything. His stubbornness has reached new heights. Cleaning him up after a meal is a showdown — hence the peanut butter on his face in these photographs. Sometimes, it’s not worth the fight. Kids are meant to get dirty. God made dirt, dirt don’t hurt.
All my life I’ve been seeking magic and adventures — and now — every waking minute is magical and adventurous. Thank you, Roman.
It was impossible to pick just one photo for this week’s portrait, so there are many. Enjoy.

Your photographs are absolutely stunning! Your son is absolutely adorable. I also completely agree with your sentiments expressed about your child. My daughter has brought more joy and magic and adventure in my life over the simplest activities. We could be taking a walk to the mailbox and the joy she feels in the outing is so contagious! These little ones are so amazing and I am in absolute awe and thankfulness. Thank you for your words that help to remind me of all the joy that parenting brings (even amongst the face washing/diaperchanging showdowns)

Yessss kids are meant to be dirty! I tell this to my mother all the time when she watches my daughter and freaks out when she gets food all over her face. Whatever, just clean it up when she’s done! It really causes no harm except frustration if you care too much haha. He looks so adorable!!!

Thanks, Tina!! Yup, sometimes you just gotta stop caring so much about the small stuff and let them be kids! <3

That look he is giving in some of the pics, we are getting that often now, too. Stubborn little buggers! Lovely pics, as always! 🙂
