Day 26: Your Hidden Talent
I’ve been racking my brain all night trying to think of something to write for this one. Unfortunately, I’m coming up blank. I can’t do any cool party tricks like tie a cherry stem into a knot with my tongue or twist myself into a human pretzel. I’ve said it before, but truth is, I’m pretty boring. My husband is far more interesting than me. Even though he comes across as the quiet one — he has way more hidden talents than I do. For example, he can do awesome impersonations! He only needs to hear a person speak a few times and then he can do their voice. It’s so cool.
Anyway, I don’t want to skip this one, so I will share some of my “lame-o” (not-so-talented) hidden talents.
- I can wiggle my left ear. Yup, just the left one.
- I can turn anything into a meal. When the fridge and the cupboard is almost bare I can pretty much take whatever weird ingredients we have left and turn them into something delicious. Today was a perfect example of that when I took an onion, 3 eggs, rice, a bag of frozen green beans, some spices and sauces and made a delicious veggie-fried-rice dish. 🙂
- I can tread water forever. Well, I don’t know about forever, but I’ve tread water for well over an hour and didn’t even break a sweat. I’ve been swimming since I was a toddler and I am more at home in the water than I am on land. I’ve always been convinced that I was a mermaid in my past life.
Okay, don’t say I didn’t warn you that this would be lame… You can throw virtual tomatoes at me now. I’ll understand.

One of my cousins can wiggle his both ears. I have always wanted to do that. It looks so cool! Turning something boring into tasty food is also very talented in my view:). I am SO BAD at cooking.

I somewhat cheated for this post and asked my wife “what’s my hidden talent”. Her answer was “baking”. I am pretty good at baking. Not many people know that, so it feels weird posting it.

I think it’s cool that you can treat water forever! An unexpected talent!
