You guys! I am so excited! This weekend we’re hosting our 1st Annual Halloween Party! I’ve been wanting to do this for ages. Our house is tiny and we can’t fit too many so it will just be my immediate family… but still. I’m so happy it’s finally happening!

To make the whole thing even sweeter, I’ll be decorating with the most beautiful handmade decorations from my new favourite paper shop — Papir Vendage. Have you checked out the Papir Vendage Etsy shop yet? It has the most gorgeous handmade one of a kind paper & fabric items for weddings, parties, and crafts. I am 100% in love with everything in the shop.

Needless to say, partnering with Maria to decorate our little party has been a dream come true. My party goodies arrived in the sweetest little Halloween paper box. Inside was a lovely Halloween card, wrapped with baker’s twine. (I’m a sucker for baker’s twine, ya’ll!) I beamed as I plucked each decoration from the package — visions of our Halloween party dancing through my head. Here are the plans so far.

1. Favors – I found the sweetest little cellophane treat bags from the $1 section at Target. I am going to fill each one with sweets and wrap them up with these gorgeous vintage Halloween tags.

2. Bunting – Everybody who knows me knows that I am obsessed with bunting. I had it at our wedding, at my baby shower, and for every holiday — but this beautiful Halloween bunting is hands down my new favourite.

3. & 4. Cupcakes & Cupcake Flags – How perfect are these little spooky cupcake flags?! I plan to bake some simple white frosted cupcakes to stick them in.

5. Baker’s Twine – Maria sent along three spools of her gorgeous baker’s twine in Halloween colors. I have a special craft project planned for my party guests & we’re going to put it to good use.

6. Confetti! – I am going to have three stations setup: the bar for drinks, a buffet table for food, and a craft table for our special Halloween craft. Each station is going to be sprinkled with a bit of this precious Halloween confetti.

7. The Menu – I’ve been slaving away over the menu. Food is always the most stressful part of party planning for me. (After cleaning of course!) I’m so grateful that my mom will be making a few of her signature dishes but I couldn’t decide what I wanted to make. Then it struck me — homemade pizza! It’s easy, delicious, and… Come on! Who doesn’t love pizza? I plan to use a few fun toppings so that everyone can choose a slice of their favourite.

8. Vampire Punch – When it comes to drinks I want to keep things simple and fun. We’ll have soda, wine, and beer, but I wanted to do a fun signature drink for the evening, too. That’s where Vampire Punch (a.k.a Madras Cocktails) comes in.

So what do you think of our party plans? I hope you like them! Now be sure to go check out Papir Vendage on Etsy and on Facebook, too. Bookmark it for your next party or gift. There’s a ton of lovely Halloween stuff and even more for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Now excuse me… If you need me I’ll be party prepping for the next few days! Ciao! xo
