I’ve been wanting to implement a “What We’re Reading…” feature for a long time. Books are so important to me and I am so grateful that my children also have a love of reading. One of my stretch goals for 2020 is to read 52 books. It’s a pretty wild goal considering that I may have read 10 last year. But I was an avid reader in the past, and I’m really hoping to get back to that place in my life once again.

At the moment I am reading a combination of fiction and non-fiction books and I’ll share all of those titles with you today, along with a couple of others that I recently finished. Also, you’ll notice a couple of themes in my non-fiction selections: herbal medicine, trauma-healing, & plant-based eating — because those are my big areas of focus this year.

Non-Fiction
The Woman’s Herbal Apothecary
The Modern Herbal Dispensatory
The Herbal Apothecary
The Best Veggie Burgers on the Planet
The Plantiful Table
The Body Keeps the Score
Meditation as Medicine

Fiction
The Immortalists
Little Fires Everywhere
The Alchemist
Written on the Body

Does that seem like a lot of books to be reading at one time? Well, it is… 😅 But, I am actually finished with The Immortalists and Little Fires Everywhere. And as far as the two food books, I am going to try to “cook my way through them” this year. So that will be an ongoing process.

You’ll notice a bunch of herbs and essential oils in my workspace at the moment and that’s because I am working on making some healing candles for my shop. I’ll be opening a pre-order list for those soon. If you’re interested in that sort of thing, feel free to subscribe to my Wild Moon Co. email list.

That’s all for this edition of “What We’re Reading.” In my next one, I’ll let you know what I’m reading with the littles.

So what about you? What are you reading at the moment? Is reading a part of your goals for 2020? Let me know in the comments.
