Milkshakes + Moving

There’s been a lot of hustle + bustle in this house lately. I’ve been getting rid of lots of junk, organizing our office, and getting ready to start switching around rooms. Our bedroom is going to become the baby’s nursery. So our bedroom set is moving into our office, and our office is moving into our spare room. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s worthwhile. The moving process is helping me to get organized and to get rid of a lot of the clutter that I’ve been holding onto for way too long.

We’ve been in the process of “minimizing” for four years now. The first three of those years, our house was under construction. We’ve still got a few construction projects left, but they’re minor. The big projects are finished and we’ve just recently started to decorate with our ever-present goal of simplicity in mind.

My big goal is to have everything done by the middle of April. That is the start of my maternity leave and gives me a full month to start nesting for baby boy’s arrival.

I didn’t get as much done today yesterday as I’d have liked, but we treated ourselves to McDonald’s (oh, the horror!) milkshakes all the same. Sometimes you just need a milkshake, especially when you’re six and a half months pregnant and your baby boy obviously has a mean sweet tooth!

Today I am off to my uncle’s to watch The Puppy Bowl and enjoy some family time. Have a gorgeous Sunday, loves! xo

Baby Boy and a sweet tooth, very good reason for a milkshake now and then. We really need to do a little more re-organization in the house as well; let me re-phrase that a bit….I need to get all my Rotary stuff in the FROG filed or tossed. Now that I am retired, I have actually spent most every day locked on to the laptop doing Rotary and have not been able to do all the stuff I need to. Well, we did put together 6 full trash bags full of clothes to take to Goodwill, that is always fun. 🙂 Looking forward to hearing all about the upcoming months.

good on you for getting rid of all of those clothes! clothes are such a top cause of clutter. we are getting there, slowly, slowly. it’s so worth it. a clean house = a clean mind. 😉
