portraits 05 // roman + marina {evening walks}

Since becoming a mother, one of my absolute favorite things to do has been to take my babies out on walks in the neighborhood where I grew up. I can’t explain how much I love this little community. Every time I go out walking, it feels like magic.

I’m not sure if it’s the quiet, loving, family-oriented nature of this place. Or if it’s simply all the beautiful memories that I’ve created here over a lifetime, but I adore it. It’s interesting, too, because I can remember a time in my late teens when I wanted nothing but to get away from this town and onto something new. And now, at thirty-two, with two babes of my own, I am drawn here fiercely.

I am so grateful to have this place that feels like home and even more blessed by the fact that I get to share the magic with my babies. ♥
