Springtime Favorites
Pulling out a few of our favorite springtime things for after school reading & spelling practice today. It’s been raining nearly nonstop these last couple of days. Hello, April showers. The magnolia trees and cherry trees are dropping their blossoms to the earth, making the ground look like it’s been covered in spilled paint. It’s so dreamy. I just love the promise that spring holds, even on rainy days like these.
I love swapping out my childrens books each season. I’ve just recently put away the Easter books and replaced them with two of our spring favorites, “Tree” and “The Seedling.” If you follow me on Instagram, I’ve been sharing a lot about screen time and my new effort to keep it to an absolute minimum. This is especially difficult on rainy days but good books and toys that encourage open-ended play definitely help.
Here’s to spring and childhood magic and all the rest!
