An Afternoon in Sugar Loaf, NY

DenaOctober 8, 2020

On Sunday afternoon, I spent the day with my sister, exploring one of our favorite places, Sugar Loaf, NY. If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile then you’ve seen it before. I’ve been visiting Sugar Loaf since I was a child.

It is a quaint little village, bustling with shops full of handmade arts & crafts, antiques, candles, herbs, magic potions, and more. I try to get there at least once a year during autumn.

The shops in Sugar Loaf are very special because many of them are also the artisans’ homes, and in many cases you’re buying goods from the very people who made them. The village has centered on arts-and-crafts since the early 1970’s. It originated as a farming center in the 18th century. You can really feel the history in the air as you stroll around. There is so much magic in the air there.

We walked around, made a few purchases and had lunch at the Sugar Loaf Taphouse. It was a perfect afternoon.

I hope you enjoyed the snaps from my day, friends. I have a brief request. If you have a moment, would you please take this quick survey? It’s only two short questions and it would be such a great help to me! Thank you so much, as always. xo
