Things i Love Thursday: October 27th, 2011
It’s been such a quiet week around here. Apparently, the whole “four plane rides in less than 48 hours and about six hours sleep total in as much time” was a bit too much for poor, old Dena. 😉 That said, it was completely worth it! I had a wonderful time visiting San Antonio & my speaking engagement was a huge success! The feedback was resoundingly positive & I think it was one of my best performances to date. Hurray. Thank you for the encouragement, loves.
This week flew by in my zombie-like state but I’m finally rejoining the world of the living. And I’ve got a lot to be grateful for. Here goes…
This quote from A Farewell to Arms ♥ Safe plane rides (apparently after a year of not flying, my fear of flying has returned. sad trombone!) ♥ Coming home to the tightest hugs from Matthew. Five years & I still got butterflies when he picked me up at the airport. ♥ Hallowe’en! Oh my goodness, I am so excited about Hallowe’en, friends! It’s my favourite holiday. I’m taking my Godson Trick or Treating on Monday & It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is on ABC tonight at 8! I’m happier than a bird with a french fry! ♥ The leaves are finally starting to change colours & they are so gorgeous.
This week, I am also really grateful for the dedicated people who have been out there occupying Wall Street across the nation. I stand with those people & I am incredibly proud to call many of them my friends. This morning I read about the terrible thing that happened to Iraq war veteran, Scott Olsen, and my heart broke. Please keep him in your thoughts & prayers.
In love light,
Dena
