Five-Month-Old Roman James
On Monday, my sweet boy turned five-months-old. It’s pretty extraordinary. In life, I’ve always found that there are days & hours that go slow but that the months & years always fly by. Never has this been more true than since I have become a mother. There are excruciatingly hard moments but they are few & far between. Most of the time it is so wonderful that I want nothing more than for it to slow down. As incredibly cliche as it is to say it, I just cannot believe that my little guy is five-months-old. He is getting so smart. He is problem-solving. When his pacifier is on the other side of his play mat, he finds a way to the other side. He doesn’t crawl but he can wiggle like it’s nobody’s business. He is also learning that if he spins his pacifier one way, it will not fit in his mouth. But if he spins it the other way, it will. Watching his little wheels spinning is the sweetest, most miraculous thing that I have ever witnessed. I feel like the luckiest woman in the world, getting to watch him blossom every day.
Oh, my little Roman James, I love you so! Happy five months, mon cherie. ♥

Happy 5 months Roman! I just found your blog and love it. I’m excited to be a reader now. I have a 9 month old boy, Miles, and love reading about other mama’s journeys!
