With Memorial Day behind us, the unofficial start of summer has begun and we are doing all of the summer things around here. The transition from spring to summer is one of my favorite times of year and getting dirty comes with that territory of course! We spend a lot of time with our hands in the dirt and our toes in the sand and that’s just how we like it. Today I want to introduce you to one of my favorite ways to keep my little ones’ hands clean, as well as my own, and that’s Dial Complete® 2 in 1 Moisturizing & Antibacterial Foaming Hand Wash. We’ve recently started using the Manuka Honey flavor and it smells so good and leaves our hands so soft.
But before I get too far into the cleaning bit, first let’s talk about some dirt! I’ve been working on our vegetable garden for the past month and the kids have been eager to get their own little hands into the dirt. I’ve been wanting to jazz up our front porch with some potted plants too. So yesterday I did an easy activity with them of transplanting geraniums into a couple of pretty, terracotta pots. They were so excited and it was such an easy way to allow them to get creative.
The process is simple. You just need a couple of little plants. We’ve done this project with herbs, flowers, and veggies–all work well. You’ll also need a little garden spade, some potting soil, and a pot or planter that has drainage at the bottom for watering. Your little ones can shake the plant from its plastic casing and carefully place it into your new pot or planter. Then they can use their little spade, shovel, (or hands!) to cover the plant with dirt. The last step is to water their new little creation.
It’s fun and easy from start to finish. It’s also a perfect learning opportunity to talk about plants, roots, leaves, flowers, fruit, sun, water and all of that good stuff. My babies love to learn and it’s so sweet to watch them absorb information and then share it with me later on. It’s awesome to witness how much actually sticks in their little minds and such a gift to be able to teach them about the wonders of this world, like the miraculous transformation from a tiny seed into a thriving organism.
After our planting adventure it was time to head inside for lunch, so of course our hands needed washing. It’s the cutest thing because now at ages 3 and 5, Roman & Marina really stress their independence about so many things. Hand-washing is definitely one of those things! Having a good pump hand wash at all of our sinks, that is easy for them to use, is critical. That’s one of the many reasons why I love this Dial Complete®. The foaming hand soap comes out easily with a push and quickly lathers up all over their little hands.
It also has 2x moisturizing ingredients, so it gives you soft, smooth hands, even after repeated washing. And goodness knows there is lots of repeated washing going on around here most days. 😉 Most importantly Dial® kills 99.99% of bacteria found in common household settings & that puts my Mama mind at ease no matter what messes we’re getting into.
In addition to the hand wash, I’ve been using the beauty bar in the shower and it’s equally amazing. I love how soft it leaves my skin feeling after each wash. Dial® has been trusted by families for 70 years, and has just released this new line-up of Dial Complete® 2 in 1 Moisturizing & Antibacterial Beauty Bar and Foaming Hand Wash. There’s antibacterial. There’s moisturizing. And now, there’s 2 in 1. We picked ours up at our local CVS in the hand soap aisle. You can find it in most major retailers and as a part of the new launch there are some specials going on: Buy the Dial® 2 in 1 Moisturizing & Antibacterial Foaming Hand Wash and receive $0.75 off • Buy the 3 pack of Dial® 2 in 1 Moisturizing & Antibacterial Beauty Bars and get $0.75 off • Buy the 6 pack of Dial® 2 in 1 Moisturizing & Antibacterial Beauty Bars and get $1.00 off. I hope you enjoyed this post, friends. Thank you for reading, as always. Here’s wishing you lots of fun & messy adventures for this coming summer! I know we’ll have having plenty around here and I look forward to sharing many of them with you! xo
