another day, another farm

Summer is my favourite season and I love the warm weather; but the past couple of weeks have been brutally hot. Roman & I had gotten into a great routine of going for a long walk every afternoon but with temperatures close to 100 degrees fahrenheit lately, I’ve been looking for other things to do. Luckily, there is no shortage of beautiful places for us to drive (in the air-conditioned car!) to around here. We live in such a beautiful area and we’re a quick drive from so many great farms & orchards. Today we went to Och’s Orchard to admire the gorgeous flowers & pick up some fresh produce. We came away with 5 squash, two huge cucumbers, 5 plum tomatoes, some apple cider donuts, and a basket of fresh peaches — all for only $10.00!!!! And best of all, the peaches had just come in from the orchards. YUMMY… We are so spoiled.
