Matthew’s 30th Birthday!

Yesterday was Matthew’s 30th Birthday! It’s pretty incredible to me considering that he was only 23 when we started dating. In many ways, it feels like we have grown up together, and I love it. I am so proud of the man, husband, and father that he has become. He had to work during the day, so we tried to make a sweet-as-can-be celebration for him when he got home. I made all of his favourites — cold cucumber & tomato salad, green bean stir-fry, dirty rice, and BBQ chicken. (He barbecued the chicken on our new grill.) After dinner we cleaned up and then celebrated with a pretty cake that I baked. Roman even helped Matthew blow out his candles. Oh, how I love my two guys!
