A Sneak Peek at Camp Roman & Some Thank-You’s
Today I’m going to share just a few snaps from Roman’s 1st birthday party at Camp Roman! I actually kept my camera in the car for nearly the entire day and allowed our sweet photographer, Kate, to capture everything. I knew that her photographs wouldn’t be ready for a little while, so I only pulled my camera out for the last few minutes of the party. I captured a fraction of all of the fun, magical details but I just couldn’t wait to share.
I also want to take this time to thank the incredible vendors who helped make this party possible and handcrafted many of the sweetest details. The Pickled Peanut made the gorgeous shabby chic rag tie banner that hung over the chalk board. Girls and Boys Clothing made Roman’s adorable vest. Birdie Baby Boutique made the beautiful camp-themed flag banner and my pretty hairband (pictures to come). And finally, thank you to my favourite little paper shop in the entire world, Papir Vendage. Papir Vendage provided us with so many gorgeous details & I just can’t wait to share them all — especially the mason jar craft tags that I used on the party favors; the arrow-shaped confetti that I put inside of the clear the balloons, the sweet little camp-themed envelopes; and the forest bunting that we used to decorate the pavilion.

Last, but not least, I want to thank my family & friends who helped me pull everything together. My best friend, Kristyn, stayed up all night before the party toasting marshmallows to make Roman’s gorgeous campfire cake and stuffing little cups full of “worms ‘n dirt.” Then on the day of the party she was at my house bright & early to load our cars and head to the venue to setup. And after all of that, she stayed with me to the very end cleaning up and helping me to get everything home. I simply could not have done it without her and I’ll never be able to say thank you enough. Next up, thanks to my mom & dad. My mom made a whole bunch of deliciousness and took the lead on the food in general. She also helped with a bunch of other little details. My dad made the gorgeous bean bag toss lawn game and hand-painted the beautiful Camp Roman logo. He also arrived early on the day of the party with his trusty staple-gun and got all of the decorations hung. Many thanks to my sister, Kara; my mother-in-law; and my Uncle John who each made something delicious and helped with party clean-up. And finally, thank you to Matthew who took care of Roman all morning so that I could setup the party and then took Roman home for a nap so that I could clean-up the party.
Please check out the party vendors on Facebook and show them some love!
