A Little Trip to Seaside Heights

We had the loveliest time on our little getaway to the beach. Roman’s first “big trip” was a huge success. He was such a good boy. My mom must have called him an angel baby a thousand times. (Many thanks to my mom, by the way, who watched Roman while Mama & Papa went to dinner & spent a few hours on the beach.) We had mostly beautiful weather. There were carousels, fried Oreos, and lots of laughs — it was wonderful! I even got a little bit of a tan. Roman had so much fun lounging by the pool with his Grammy and meeting his sweet cousins Bethany & Karen for the first time.

My family has been visiting Seaside Heights since I was born. It is one of my favourite places in the world. There is something so magical about the sea & the boardwalk. The Jersey Shore was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy and Seaside was no exception. Although a lot of work has been done already, there is still a long way to go. I am so happy that we were able to spend a few days there and support the “Restore the Shore” effort as well as the local business owners. I can’t wait to go back. xo
