Every Friday, I post my favourite links, posts, & resources from around the Web. Expect to learn, grow, & be inspired.

1. confidence vs. blind faith: rock ‘em both: Here on the East Coast, it’s bathing suit season—no better time to start thinking about confidence! This post is about much more than confidence though. As always, I love Danielle’s real-world, genuine advice.

2. What We Have Been Searching For All Along: The grass is always greener on the other side… Or is it?

3. National Wild life Federation Blog: I love organizations with simple, powerful mission statements. My all-time favourite is Disney’s: To make people happy. The National Wildlife Federation (NWF) is another organization with an incredible & critical mission: To inspire Americans to protect wildlife for our children’s future. I am a fan & a volunteer of NWF.
I highly recommend subscribing to the NWF blog, where contributors write about what is going on in our environment & what we can do to make a difference.

4. Acorns to Oak Trees: How to Grow Great Things: Matthew & I planted our first vegetable garden this year—tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, sunflowers, squash, cucumber, & eggplant. It has been incredible to watch our tiny seeds develop into these incredible plants that we will get to eat soon!

While this post is less about gardening & more about spiritual growth, it’s always the perfect time of year to reflect on how to grow great things.

5. How to Overcome Envy: 5 Effective Tips: Plagued by the green-eyed monster? Solid advice about how to cope.

6. THANK YOU FOR NOT SMOKING… IN CHINA: Inspirational interview with an amazing woman!

7. paris walk no. 1: montmartre & bonn et bruxelles: Verhext has been sharing photographs from her trip to Europe & I’ve been drooling just looking at them! Montmartre & Brussels are at the top of my “dream destination” list. I’ll get there soon enough, but for now I’m living vicariously through Verhext.

8. Bali Dispatch #3: Tap Dancing in Paradise: Jonathan Fields is spending a part of his summer in Bali. His goal is to explore/vacation with his family and at the same time conduct an experiment in location-independent work. I love his thorough, honest approach to recounting his experience thus far.

9. What Does Frugal Travel Really Look Like?:

Unless you are Donald Trump, there are going to be compromises when you travel. A crucial part of preparing for serious travel is asking yourself hard questions about finances before you leave to ensure that you know how you are willing to balance your priorities against your monetary realities.

10. featherveins: Last but not least, here is a link to my Tumblr! I’ve been on Tumblr for quite some time now & I am amazed by all of the jaw-dropping-ly gorgeous images & words that I find there. Feel free to follow me & of course let me know if you are on Tumblr, too!
