Whole Foods: Delicious, Raw, Vegan Recipes
After the last post in my whole foods series, I received another question about eating raw. This time I was asked to share some raw food recipes. When we think about raw food and incorporating raw food into our diets, we typically think of eating a piece of fruit with breakfast or a side salad with dinner. But raw food is so much more than that! There are thousands of interesting & delicious ways to incorporate raw food into our diets — and not just as snacks or sides. There are lots of raw food recipes that make for a perfect main dish.
As I mentioned before, I aim to incorporate 50% raw food into our diet at home. A few of my go-to favourites are guacamole and cold bean/red onion salads. For dinner, I’ll make rice with guacamole (all raw ingredients in guacamole, by the way) and that’s 50% raw. For lunch, I’ll make salmon with a cold bean/red onion salad — once again 50% raw.
I’ve recently set my sights on several more “complicated” raw food recipes that I’m eager to try. I’ve put a few together to serve as inspiration.
1. Raw Zucchini Pasta with Avocado Cream Sauce // 2. Raw Lasagna Rolls
3. Raw Vegan Lasagna with Spinach Pesto & Walnut “Sausage” // 4. Raw Goat Cheese Dip
5. Raw Tomato Basil Avocado Soup // 6. Fresh Figs with Cashew Cream
Don’t these look absolutely delicious!? Proof that raw food is anything but boring! Right? I’m planning to try one new raw recipe each week for the next six weeks. I’ll let you know how it goes.
If you try any of these — or if have your own raw recipes to share — please let me know in the comments!

I have a recipe for raw “fudge” on my Blog that you’ll go NUTS over – it’s SO tasty! These all look worth giving a shot, too!
