The 52 Week Project – A portrait of my son, every week for one year.
7/52 – This week, Roman has been trying like heck to stand without holding onto something. He’s using all of his little might and he’s so close. Watching his determination and resourcefulness is incredible. Last night, he pulled himself up into a standing position using the couch as support. He was so determined to stand on his own that he pushed himself backward with all of his might. He stood there for a fraction of a second, wobbling, and then fell back against the couch for support. As usual, M. and I cheered & hollered — Yay! Hooray! Roman’s face lit up, glowing with pride and excitement. These little moments are so extraordinarily magical that it takes my breath away. Often my eyes fill with tears of such joy as I have never known. Gratitude beyond measure.

Where did you find such a fabulous toy crate Dena?! Love it!
Thanks, Crista! I got it on Target.com a few months before Roman was born. I love it. I hadn’t planned to use it as a toy crate — but I love it.
I also love that crate and this photo! And your new blog header! 😉
Thanks, Gillian. So glad you like the header. I just made it this morning. 🙂
