Christmas Festivities 2013
I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas celebration! (And if you don’t celebrate Christmas then I hope that you simply had a wonderful day yesterday!)
We started celebrating on Christmas Eve with a trip to my sister’s house to spend the evening with my family. There was good food, good drinks, and a Christmas carol before opening presents. That night Santa visited our little house. The next morning, we opened gifts & celebrated our very first Christmas morning as a family of three. Later on in the afternoon, we went to Matthew’s mother’s house to celebrate with his family. There was more good food, more good drinks, and more laughs to be had.
Over the past few days, I’ve found myself thinking back to last holiday season when Roman was growing in my belly. I couldn’t wait to meet him. He was my Christmas wish then & he is my wish come true now. I have cherished being able to celebrate the miracle of Christmas with him. I can only imagine how much better it will get as he begins to understand the magic himself.
And here’s a little video of Roman opening up one of his gifts on Christmas morning:
It truly was the merriest & brightest Christmas that I could have ever hoped for. Here’s wishing that we’re all blessed with such joy & love as we move into 2014. xo
